Good Effort Comes Up a Little Short

Sorry no pictures tonight... Several valuable members of our golf team were not with us this afternoon (including the camera man): Glick, Taylor, Ben, and my dad were all unable to make the match. That meant a chance for some other guys to play Varsity. We took on Heritage at Cross Creek on the back 9. It is a very difficult course and with the wind blowing we had our struggles. Unfortunately we came up a little short.

Heritage 176
Braves 182

We now stand at 3-4 on the year. A valiant effort but unfortunately another loss. Our next chance will be on Monday against Snider at Cherry Hill. Here a the scores and highlights from tonight's match:

Ryan Von Lanken 61- "I'm not exactly sure about this whole 'varsity thing'"
Austin 55- probably has nightmares of courses with only Par 5s
Keegan 51- ironically about the same number of words he spoke the whole day
Matthew 49- his dad said it best- "he needs to figure out how to play all 9 holes instead of 8"
Tegan 47- thinks golf would be easier if "the wind only affected our opponents"
Neumeyer 45- actually was able to see his ball tonight... but scored one stroke higher-how does that work
Russell 41- his card "declined" at Wendy's so I had to spot him. Evidently, he's already maxed out the one Izzo gave him?

Fun night despite the loss. Always enjoy the roadies... but we'll be happy to be back home Monday!

Peace
