Today the Braves played in what ended up being their final event of the year. On a beautiful day at Brookwood the guys fired a 336, good enough for 4th place overall. It was bittersweet in a way for a couple reasons. Don't get me wrong finishing 4th in the sectional is outstanding and a testament to how far this team has come. However, the guys really believed they had a legitimate shot of advancing (top 3 teams do). It was also tough to say goodbye to our seniors Zach and Aaron but they should be proud of what they accomplished and how they finished their careers. Over the last 3 years we have gone from 370- to 363- to now 336 in the sectional. That is a tremendous improvement. There is no doubt that our golf program is on the 'upswing' (rim-shot, please) and we'll look to build on that even more in the coming years. I'm sad Zach and Aaron won't be here to experience that but they should be proud of their contributions to getting things turned around. Thanks guys, you will be missed!
A reminder that our summer golf program starts this Monday. Golfers, make sure you know your scheduled "work time". I hope to see everyone out on Monday evenings at 6:00 for the clinic with Rick.
You can check back periodically but I probably won't post too much until next season. Thanks again to everyone for a great year. It was the best all around in my 3 years and I'm looking forward to many more to come... See you next year!
