Individuals:
Tegan Wild- His 45 led the Braves. Great outing for the Freshman on one of the toughest courses we play all year, but he won't get to play it again until his Senior year. Oh, and I think he ate everything except Ronald at McDonald's on the way home.
Justin Glick-playing #1 shot a 48. Not bad but a 9 on his second hole hurt him the most... or was it his 3-putt from 8 feet after sticking his approach on #10. Those greens were nearly impossible though and the pin-placements were ungodly. I loved his dad's comment about his "stick-handling" skills on the putting green. Classic.
Zach DeWitt-The Senior also had a 48. Once we get this guy back down in the low 40's, we're going to be in great shape. He avoided the big blow-up hole but just couldn't shake those double-bogeys.
Jon Neumeister- Got a chance to play some Varsity tonight and took advantage of it. A nice little 48 for Mr. Consistency was well deserved and even got his score counted.
Aaron Kelpin- almost pulled off the unprecedented "golf-cycle". That would be where you score a 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 over the 9 holes. He only missed it by two digits. Unfortunately those two digits were 1 and 2... not 8 and 9. His 50 wasn't all that bad but could have been a lot better without a couple rough holes.
Austin Friesen- another golfer who got the chance to play a Varsity match today. The par 5's were unkind to him but it was a good learning experience. It's always good to get your 1st Varsity match out of the way but that was a brutal course to do so on. I would guess his 57 will end up being his highest Varsity score. His competitiveness will make him a very good golfer.
And yes, we did have a invitational Saturday that I didn't post anything on.
And no, I don't want to talk about it.
